DESCRIPTION: The Campbell Estate envisions Kapolei as a "second city" on the Ewa Plain of Oahu that may someday rival Honolulu. Kapolei features a shopping center, a golf course, schools for all ages, and easy access to Honolulu via the H-1 freeway. Homes in Kapolei are newer and more affordable than those of nearby Mililani and typically have 4B/2.5BA with 1,600 square feet of interior living area. However, the lots tend to be smaller with about 4,600 square feet and less backyard space. Most homes are part of the Villages of Kapolei Community Association and are subject to nominal association fees. Also, the Ewa plain is relatively drier and hotter than the rest of the island, so having air conditioning is desirable.
